Glomauna - Swamps

Bloodmoon bounded out of the forest and onto the shores of the swamp. Her muzzle wrinkled up with disgust remembering when she had to live in a swamp and eat frogs after being chased away from a pack. She had stuck to the edges then unable to swim as she was only a yearling had avoided going into water that she would not wade across. Moving forward slowly she placed a paw in a felt the ground. As the water only rose a little up her leg she moved out deeper into the swamp. All of a sudden the ground disappeared from under her paws and she went under. The red Neko's paws went wild splashing around as she struggled to see from the water dripping into her amber eyes. She panted for breath and managed to let out a howl calling for help, hoping she wouldn't drown.

Bloodmoon was so tired. Guessing none had heard her howl and was coming for her she gave up. She was slowly sinking and blackness was starting to form around her vision when she felt someone grab her scuff. She felt her body being pulled from the body but the darkness was still coming on. Blood was just so tired and she could feel the water in her lungs. Suddenly she felt something push on her stomach and she jerked away. It caused her to start coughing as water spewed from her mouth. When it was all torn she finally opened her amber eyes and saw Arbor. Reaching out a paw she brushed his in thanks as she didn't think it would be good to talk right then. Shifting away from where she had just been laying and farther away from the swamp water she curled up and started to shiver. Her pelt was drenched but she had no energy left and her eyes were half closed as exhaustion washed over her in waves. Her jaws opened wide in a yawn showing her ivory fangs before she reached for the black brute who had saved her, feeling like the pup she had once been looking for comfort.

Blood sighed happily as she drifted off with Arbor laying beside her. She felt at ease for the first time in a long while and was glad that the black brute was there. She didn't sleep long before she jumped to her paws panting as she dreamed that Arbor hadn't come and her red body had been sinking to the bottom of the swamp. Her fur was fluffed out as she shook with fear as her amber eyes snapped around disorientated and her brain still half-asleep made her whimper for the first time in ages.

Swing her head around with jaws open Blood caught sight of Arbor. Realising that he was the one to touch her as he spoke let her relax sinking to the ground as she let her head drop. "You didn't make it." she whispered softly to him explaining her dream.

Moon nodded slowly. Twisting her head she pressed it against Arbors black flank breathing in his scent as she worked to calm herself down. "Last time I was at a swamp I was injuried and fighting to stay alive on earth not long before I found the portal. I had been rejected by a pack and one of the females attacked me. That's how I got the scar on my left hind leg." she said softly as she shifted closer to the black brute.

A soft laugh left Bloodmoon. It left her shock as she had never laughed not even when she was with her pack. Her amber eyes where wide with shock before she shook her red head and turned cold again. "So how are we going to get out of here?" she asked shifting her body to glare at the water as her tone turned to ice as she shut down her emotions. The red Neko didn't know what it was about the black brute but he made her feel again and she didn't know how to act to Arbor or the emotions.

Bloodmoon give Arbor a sharp nod. It would be the quickest way for them to get out of the swamp. Rising to her paw the red Neko moved away from the black brute and closed her amber eyes before shaking her fur out hard. It sent water flying everywhere. She opened her eyes and showed the same expression of ice that she normally wore and walked over to the waters edge. "Let's go." she snarled icily glaring at the water.

Blood followed Arbor watching where he went carefully. When he had to swim in the deeper parts she would pause and wait for him to find a part for her to wade across. Her belly fur was soaked and she was growling steadily at the water. Her amber eyes were completely like since covered amber stones as she glanced up noticing Arbor had stopped. "What's wrong?" she snapped just wanting to get out of the swamp. She moved to the side of the black brute and turned her stony eyes to him.

Notes: she really doesn't like being stuck in a swamp even if it's with you Arbor

Moon stuck close to Arbor with her ears flat. She felt odd like she had done something wrong. The red Neko followed the black male into the comfort of the forest.
